CUSTOM MADE RUGS
Maggie's custom made stair runnerIf you do not find a rug you like in our gallery please contact us, we are only too happy to help you design and weave a rug to your individual requirements. Please see SIZE & PRICE page for a price guide for a typical custom made rug.

We will need to ensure that we will be able to deliver your design and that you are happy with the cost of the rug before work commences. We do this by the following procedure:

  1. Initially you will need to send us a diagram (ie photo/painting/sketch) of your design. This will need to clearly identify the colours you require, the size of your rug and the knots per square inch (ie 60 knots or 100 knots). You may send this diagram to us either via email (info@comolongmo.com) or by post to;
  Comolongmo.com
53A TERRACE ROAD
PLAISTOW
LONDON
E13 0PP
UK
  1. We will then send you a quote for the cost of your rug.
  2. You will then need to contact us to tell us if you want to proceed with your order. At this stage a non-refundable deposit of 10 per cent of the cost of your rug will be payable so that we can instruct our designer to prepare a detailed colour graphic illustration of your rug. This is what the weavers will use when weaving your rug. Though we endeavour to reproduce the exact colours and design specified in the graphic illustration, the nature of the dyeing process is such that the colours and design may vary slightly.
  3. Once the graphic illustration is ready, we will send a copy by e-mail to you for approval.
  4. Once you approve the graphic illustration, we will require a further 40 per cent of the cost of your rug to be paid to us so that work can commence on your rug.
  5. Once your rug is ready, we will notify you and the balance of 50 per cent of the cost of your rug will become due and payable. Once we have received payment, we will then arrange for the rug to be delivered to you.

Obviously the time it takes to produce a custom made rug will depend on its size and intricacy. Typically the whole process takes about 10 to 16 weeks.

The above is the usual process that we follow. However, if prior to commencement of the weaving of your rug proper, you require a scaled down version of your rug (ie one or two foot square) we will be happy to quote for this separately.

Please note that clauses 2, 4, 5, 7 and 8 of the TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE will apply to all custom made rugs.
