Dear Friends
Well folks
“EXPERIENCE THE MAGIC OF NEPAL” is just 11 days away.
I hope you will be able to join us, bringing your family and friends
with you.
To give a Nepalese
touch I did a live interview with www.visionsansar.com, if you
fancy hearing the Nepalese language please visit http://www.youtube.com/user/TheVisionsansar?feature=mhum#p/a/u/0/NrhVisFhh3A.
Also, the Fair is featured by “COVER” magazine, for
those who haven’t bought a copy yet, please find a page
attached.
Christmas is
just two months away, on SATURDAY 30 OCTOBER we have 7 Nepalese
Fair Trade Producers (FTG Nepal) coming all the way from Nepal
as well as 50 Fair Traders selling Fair Trade products from Asia,
South America, Africa and the UK with wide varieties of top quality
luxurious and affordable products all perfect as Christmas gifts
– hand made rugs, handmade wrapping papers, jewellery, leather
bags, fashion accessories, Christmas decoration, clothes, Christmas
cards, etc.
Perhaps, many
of you have been waiting anxiously to see the four winning finalist
rug designs? The rugs are on the way and I hope you are as eager
I am to see the real rugs. I hope you will hold your patience
to see the rugs live at the Fair. Also, we will have them on the
website from Thursday 28 October to Sunday 31 October. Please
encourage and support our young pupils by voting your favourite
design. Remember the design that gets most vote will be awarded
to the pupil who designed it. Our huge congratulations to winning
four finalists and we are grateful to Bow Boys School and Royal
Dockland Community School for taking part.
Finally our
grateful thanks to Binod Chipalu and friends for the fantastic
work they are doing for cultural programme. Remember the cultural
programme is only on Saturday 30 October from 11am to 4pm. You
have probably never heard or seen traditional Kathmandu festival
dances of Newari community. To give you the taste, Bhairabnath
Guthi will be presenting traditional Kathmandu festival dances
- Lakhe Nach (Devil dance), Bhairab Nach (goddess Bhairab dance),
Khya Nach (Devil dance), Manjushree Nach (goddess Manjushree dance)
and Dhaya Nach - and “Sangeet Sutra” will be presenting
Nepalese folk music.
Thank you very
much for your support and we look forward to seeing you all at
the Fair!
Best regards
